Austin-Based Burger Concept To Debut 3 Houston Locations
Austin-based Hat Creek Burger Co. is opening three locations in Houston in 2019, CultureMap reports. The family-friendly restaurant serves burgers, milkshakes, gluten-free chicken flashers and breakfast items such as pancakes, platters, bowls and tacos.
The new fast-casual joints will be in the Spring/Klein area near Louetta Road and Champion Forest Drive, in the Katy area at Royal Montreal Drive and Mason Road and in Fulshear at FM 1463 and South Fry Road.
With operations in the Austin and Dallas areas, Hat Creek is on a statewide expansion. It is slated to open concepts in Allen, Richardson, Sachse and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Hat Creek is yet another example of an Austin-based concept making the jump into the Houston market. Hopdoddy Burger Bar expanded in 2016 with a River Oaks District location and since then has opened three more stores here. Other popular Austin-based restaurants include Tacodeli, Torchy's Tacos and Uchi.
Houstonians will soon have access to the Austin nightlife flair too. Four Austin-based bar concepts — Unicorn Disco, Jack & Ginger's Irish Pub, 77° Rooftop and an unnamed spot from owners of The Dogwood — are on their way to a redevelopment project in Midtown.
