Rapper Drake Unveils New 'Classy' Strip Club Concept At Pop-Up Event In Houston
Drake's opening a strip club? What A Time To Be Alive. Fresh off a rousing performance at Toyota Center shortly after the University of Houston's big win over Oklahoma, rap superstar Drake announced his latest venture will be an extension of the "new dance experience" he debuted at a pop-up event in Toyota Center. Drake's "classy" strip club—called The Ballet—will open in early 2017, reports CME.
Speaking at the pop-up event, Drake told the crowd, "It's not about no strip club sh--, it's about these amazing women that we've got in one spot, the music that we've got, and the Houston culture that we got. I just wanna let you know that I'm going to bring it to you in the most honest and genuine way possible."
"Tonight is a different take on how it should be done in Houston," the rapper posted to Instagram. "Treat yourself don't cheat yourself. Where the women are on a pedestal and the surroundings are unforgettable."
Drake's history with Houston goes way back, name checking the city in the track Houstalantavegas and crediting the city with being instrumental in the early stages of his career. [CME]
