New Farm-To-Table Restaurant Opening In Katy

Placeholder

Dallas-based Front Burner Restaurants is breaking ground on Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar at the hotly pursued 2.5-acre tract fronting I-10 adjacent to Katy Grand Station in Verde Parc. The 8,500 SF restaurant will open in the fall.

Whiskey Cake's tenant rep, NewQuest VP Hugh Ruggles, searched two years for the right location for its entry to Houston. Whiskey Cake's two-mile trade area has an average annual household income of $92,771 and a median age of 35, the perfect demographic for its urban farm-to-table concept. The land was purchased from Parkside NEC Grand Parkway/I-10; the Moody family was also very selective in its choice of buyer to add to Parkside Capital's master planned 120-acre Verde Parc project.

The establishment will focus on heritage and handcrafted recipes like smoked duck, deviled eggs, and the namesake dessert, whiskey cake. With 24 craft beers, 100 small batch bourbons and over 30 varieties of wine, you can expect to see us there.
