Tamara Gustavson owns American Commercial Equities Management (founded by brother B. Wayne Hughes Jr), which features Class-A retail and mixed-use properties in high-profile markets (think Beverly Hills, Malibu, West Hollywood, Santa Monica). She’s also the biggest shareholder in Public Storage, the largest public storage chain in the US, which boasts 2,200 locations across the US and Europe. She worked for the company for 20 years eventually becoming SVP for administration and now serves as board director.
She is also the majority owner of PS Canada, which owns and operates storage facilities under the Public Storage name. She is a longtime donor to the HollyRod Foundation, which focuses on providing compassionate care for patients with Parkinson’s and autism who have little or no healthcare and limited financial resources.
