Robert Kraft is best known as the owner of the New England Patriots. His fortune was initially built through International Forest Products, a trader of paper commodities. His wealth has grown dramatically since he bought the Patriots in 1994.
The development arm of his business, the Kraft Group, boasts over $1B worth of projects that include the 1.2M SF Patriot Place: a retail, office and hotel complex adjacent to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Kraft has spent over a decade trying — and failing — to build a smaller stadium for his Major League Soccer team, the New England Revolution, closer to Boston. — Scott Klocksin
