Republic At East India Dock To Open In 2017
Trilogy Partners’ Republic development is set to go live in early 2017. The £250M scheme will transform East India Dock, an overlooked nook of London, into a vibrant, artistically oriented community that provides high-tech workspaces for startups and creatives.
Poplar, in East India Dock, will become a thriving community when Crossrail arrives in 2018 at nearby Canary Wharf. The affordable rates and easy access to the East End will draw visitors, residents and workers, and imbue the blank slate with a genuine feeling of community.
Trilogy Partners founder Robert Wolstenholm has a track record of building creative spaces in Shoreditch and Manchester—in places where fledgling companies have been priced out of quality space, according to the Evening Standard.
Workers at Republic will enjoy amenities like a gym, a climbing wall, on-site shops and bars, and Europe’s longest swimming pool. Co-working firm The Trampery is the first tenant. The Trampery offers 9k SF of workspace for startups and creatives, and even some free space for new businesses. [ES]
