Helical Bar Signs Two Creative Brands To The Loom

Placeholder

Helical signed two new leases at The Loom, Whitechapel E1, with creative and dynamic brands.

Erdem, a high-end fashion group that sells to retailers including Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Barneys of New York as well as having its own Mayfair store, has taken 9,200 SF of office space, the biggest unit available within the building. It's a 10-year term and the rent of £54/SF sets a new benchmark for the scheme. The deal was negotiated and completed post-EU vote.

Cult London brand “Look mum no hands!” will operate the on-site café/bar. Founded in 2010, Look mum no hands! combines a café, bicycle workshop, bar and exhibition space to become one of the first Cycle Cafes. The Loom will be its third permanent café, with units already in Old Street and Brixton.

Helical will complete a major refurbishment of the reception and common areas of The Loom, a former Victorian wool warehouse. This will provide a new primary entrance and reception on Gower’s Walk, a bike store, showers and the on-site café/bar. In early September, there will be about 35k SF of refurbished office space available in various-sized units.

The building was recently Wired Certified Gold.
