The Office Group Will Build Flagship Flexible Workspace In Vauxhall
The Office Group has been granted planning permission to create a 92K SF flagship building by the Thames at Tintagel House on Albert Embankment in Vauxhall.
The project, designed by architects Stanton Williams, will extend the existing 12-storey office building at the ground and first floor, and includes the creation of landscaped roof terraces.
The building was previously occupied by the Metropolitan Police and was the site of its first police computer in the 1960s. With interiors designed by Universal Design Studio, it will provide offices and co-working space, as well as an art gallery, a café, a gym, production studios, workshops, a riverside garden and a rooftop members’ bar.
Tintagel House is now the largest property in The Office Group’s portfolio of 34 buildings, 32 of which are in London. In total, The Office Group’s portfolio spans 1.2M SF and a community of more than 15,000 members.
Work has begun on-site and is due to complete by the end of 2017.
The Office Group's co-CEO, Charlie Green, said the company’s starting point was a building with “unbelievable natural light and stunning views” directly on the Thames. “We think the building will add to the regeneration of Vauxhall, offering an affordable, flexible place to work, open to everyone. We’ve worked very hard on the design and the content to make this a real destination for people.”
