Speaking of Seattle...
We're in Seattle for an event this morning. Nothing like arriving in the cloudy skies and just seeing Mt. Rainier as we snapped Sunday.
Here's the three-block-long construction site of Amazon's new world HQ—three towers of 3M SF, which will start to deliver in 2015. Amazon already leases or owns another 3.2M SF and seems to be leasing more. It will have soon enough space for 30,000 employees in Seattle out of 100,000 worldwide.
Here's restaurateur Thierry Rautureau, also known as "The Chef in the Hat," at his 10-day-old bistro "Loulay" (named after his French hometown not too far from Bordeaux). He's one of Seattle's celebrity chefs, having presided over the long popular Rover's for 26 years until it closed in June.
