Supermarket Centers In The Bag
Paper or plastic? San Diego-based Retail Opportunity Investments Corp didn't have to choose when it bought four SoCal shopping centers, including the 110k SF Redondo Beach Plaza (above) for a total of $114M. The Collins Co's Deborah Collins repped the seller, a private family partnership. With all four centers boasting major supermarket anchors and strong locations, Wilson Commercial's Geoff Tranchina, who repped the buyer, says the acquisitions have both cash flow and value-add growth opportunities. (By value-add, he means the bananas won't be ripe for another three days or so.)
