Forest City Getting Closer on $100M Chinatown Mixed-Use
There is finally light at the end of the tunnel for Forest City Enterprises' $100M Blossom Plaza in Chinatown.
Located on two acres next to the Metro Chinatown Station, the mixed-use project features studios up to three-bedroom apartments and has been under construction for nearly two years.
Top amenities include a 17k SF pedestrian plaza that will connect to the train station. There will also be a paseo between the buildings, in addition to more than 40k SF of commercial space.
Fifty-four of the units will be set aside for low-income housing, according to Urbanize LA. The project is being built by architectural firms Togawa Smith Martin and Johnson Fain. It's scheduled to be completed later this year. [ULA]
