US Bank Tower Adding Glass Slide To Its Observation Deck
The US Bank Tower at 633 W Fifth St in DTLA, also known (for now) as the tallest tower on the West Coast, is adding something extra to its $50M renovation project.
A new, two-story observation deck with 360-degree views of the city is being built, but it was just announced that the project will now include a 36-foot-long glass slide 1,000 feet in the air.
Those ballsy enough will be able to slide from the 70th floor to the 69th on the outside of the building, according to Curbed. The so-called “Skyslide” will be made of four-inch-thick glass.
The new observation deck is expected to open by mid-year. [Curbed]
