New Plans For The LA Convention Center
It looks like it’s back to the drawing board for the LA Convention Center.
After holding a design contest last year and selecting a redesign by a team consisting of HMC Architects and Populous, the city may now reconsider.
The City Council's Economic Development Committee has just approved a proposal from City Administrative Officer Miguel Santana to work in a public-private partnership to redesign the convention center instead, according to Curbed.
LA must now choose between the options. The City Council could make a decision on the matter by June. [Curbed]
