NoMad Hotel Coming To Downtown LA
The New York-based Sydell Group is converting the vacant Giannini Place (Seventh and Olive streets) in downtown LA into a NoMad Hotel.
The 93-year-old, 12-story Giannini Place is known for its upscale décor, including gold ceilings and marble floors. The upper floors of the former office building are set to become 241 guest rooms, according to Urbanize LA.
The hotel will have a rooftop deck, pool and fitness center.
The building’s ground floor will have restaurant and retail space. The adaptive reuse plan for the building was designed by Santa Monica's Killefer Flammang Architects.
The building’s conversion is expected to be completed by 2017. [ULA]
