Luxury Hotelier Aman To Operate At $2B One Beverly Hills Project
Ultra-luxe hotel chain Aman will operate the hotel at the $2B One Beverly Hills development, and it will maintain branded residences and a private club at the 17.5-acre hotel and residential project.
Though it’s been called “the world’s most preeminent resort brand” by Forbes, Aman is “so exclusive you’ve probably never heard of it,” the Los Angeles Times wrote.
The operator has five domestic properties, including locations in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Miami Beach, Florida, as well as international resorts in Turks and Caicos, Marrakech, Morocco, and Venice, Italy. More than a dozen of the hotel properties are within or adjacent to UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
In addition to a 42-room, all-suite hotel, the development will also feature 37 Aman-branded residences and a 120K SF private Aman club, according to a Thursday announcement from One Beverly Hills developers Alagem Capital Group and Cain International.
In total, One Beverly Hills has been approved for up to 340 upscale residences in two towers reaching 28 and 32 stories. The new development will be melded into two existing hotels, the Beverly Hilton and the Waldorf Astoria, which are next to the development site.
Aman’s CEO and chairman is Russian real estate developer Vlad Doronin. Cain International and another Doronin company, OKO Group, have worked together before. The two previously partnered on a 47-story multifamily tower in Miami called Una Residences.
In the fall of 2021, during construction on the enormous, $25M underground parking garage for the project, the three-story deep construction site was flooded by water from Miami's underground aquifer, Bisnow reported.
Construction on One Beverly Hills is expected to begin in 2023 and wrap up in 2026.
