Epson Doubling Down On Orange County With New Warehouse
Office equipment maker Epson America Inc. is putting down roots in Orange County.
The company is moving its distribution and warehousing to a roughly 234K SF industrial facility in Huntington Beach, California, the Orange County Business Journal reported. The space is a full building in Phase 2 of Sares Regis Group’s Huntington Gateway project.
Local warehousing operations for Epson are in Carson now. Those will move into the Huntington Beach warehouse when it is complete, which is anticipated for sometime in early 2023, according to the OCBJ.
Epson moved its headquarters to Los Alamitos from nearby Long Beach in 2020.
Newport Beach-based Sares Regis Group submitted plans in 2020 to the city of Huntington Beach for the project, which is slated to be just over 1M SF when all phases are complete.
Orange County’s industrial market vacancy sat at 1.3% in the third quarter of this year, a figure unchanged from the preceding quarter, according to JLL research. There are nearly 4M SF of new projects under construction, a new record high for the area.
