New Tower Possibly Headed For Koreatown
The neighborhood around the Wilshire Galleria in Koreatown is in store for some changes.
Harridge Development Group is planning to turn the Wilshire Galleria, formerly an I. Magnin department store, into a hotel.
The hotel would have 160 rooms, a restaurant on the ground floor and a gift shop, among other amenities.
The firm also wants to add a 35-story tower and a seven-story building to house 355 condos, Curbed reports.
The high-rise building would have 2,832 SF of retail space; the seven-story building would have 2,270 SF of retail on the ground floor.
If all goes according to plan and the project passes city approval, it could be completed by 2019 or 2020. [Curbed]
