Food 4 Less Could Be Replaced By Mixed-Use Project In Hollywood
Work on the Target on Sunset Boulevard at Western Avenue in Hollywood may be stalled due to ongoing litigation, but the neighboring Food 4 Less Market could give way for a large residential-retail complex.
Plans were just filed to redevelop the property, transforming it into a big mixed-use project that would include 735 apartments, nearly 96K SF of commercial space and parking for more than 1,400 vehicles, Urbanize LA reports.
The proposed building at 5420 West Sunset Blvd. could be as high as 75 feet. No zoning change would be required.
Malibu's American Commercial Equities is the developer.
LaTerra Development is developing a mixed-use project in the same neighborhood in Hollywood in a JV formed with Gemdale Properties & Investment. It would have more than 200 apartments and include retail and an office building.
