Koreatown Luxury Apartments Set To Open Over Small-Format Target
Koreatown's Next on Sixth, a mixed-use project with luxury apartments above an urban-concept Target store, will have its grand opening Monday and Tuesday.
The seven-story project at 620 South Virgil Ave. from Century West Partners, a JV between Fifield Cos. and Cypress Equity Investments, has 398 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments above the Target on the ground floor.
“The completion of Next on Sixth marks a major milestone for Century West Partners and the neighborhood of Koreatown,” Century West Partners co-founder and principal Steve Fifield said. “Next on Sixth is a true community collaboration, delivering luxury rental living to a thriving and sought-after neighborhood of Los Angeles while providing a coveted lifestyle package to many.”
The 22K SF Target in the project is one of a few small-format stores the retailer is bringing to LA. Another recently opened near USC. Having the store in Next on Sixth adds to the available amenities for residents and the surrounding community, said Century West Partners co-founder and principal Michael Sorochinsky.
The building includes custom murals and sculptures, among other amenities such as a two-story fitness center with a pool, an indoor simulated golf range, WiFi in common areas, a dog grooming station and bark park, controlled access and a gated underground parking garage, electric car charging stations, bicycle storage and a bike kitchen for maintenance and repairs. There are also several lounges and rooftop decks.
