Rick Caruso Will Downsize Beverly Grove Project
Rick Caruso's high-rise development in Beverly Grove is being downsized. Caruso agreed to make the changes after coming under fire for political donations he made to city officials.
L.A. City Councilman Paul Koretz coordinated the agreement to build a proposed 185-foot building, being designed by Gensler, instead of a 240-foot one at 333 La Cienega Blvd, Urbanize LA reports.
Caruso will also give $500k to help pay for affordable housing in Koretz's district.
The agreement includes 10% of the units being set aside for affordable housing and provisions for new green space and bike lanes around the development.
The project could be finished in 2020. [ULA]
