Hanover Olympic Debuts Solar-Powered Apartments
New "eco-green" apartments are being introduced in South Park, thanks to Houston's Hanover.
Hanover Olympic, at 936 South Olive in DTLA, consists of 263 units, 20 of which are "eco-green," solar-powered apartments.
Designed by TCA Architects, the apartments are being billed as the city's "first solar-powered net-zero eco apartments," according to Curbed.
Each apartment gets power from 10 solar panels on the roof of the building.
The apartments, which rent for $2,140 to $2,455/month, include recycled glass countertops, energy-tracking iPad Minis, energy performance windows and reclaimed wood floors.
The building has a swimming pool, a wine room with lockers just for residents, pet-grooming stations and bike parking. [Curbed]
