Geoff Palmer's Broadway Palace Breaks Ground
Just a couple months after Geoff Palmer got permits to build, the 439-unit project is now underway. The mixed-use project on Broadway calls for a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units, spread between two separate buildings. One would include about 35k SF of ground-floor retail and the other would offer some live/work units.
This comes as many still associate Geoff with the Da Vinci fire from December, which the city is now interested in picking up to use as parking. Broadway Palace comes as much of DTLA, especially Broadway, is entering quite the boom. Not far from the apartment building, King's Arch recently picked up the historic art deco building at 537 S Broadway with plans for a $5M makeover.
