The Transformation Of The Abbey
The adaptive reuse of the Abbey into a 110-unit apartment complex at 3550 West Sixth St in Koreatown is complete.
The 89-year-old, six-story building has studio, one- and two-bedroom units ranging from 550 to 1,069 SF.
Each has open floor plans with wood floors, stainless steel appliances, private balconies and quartz countertops.
There is also a fully equipped fitness center, a 4k SF rooftop deck (above), a bocce ball court, fire pits, barbecue stations, and a 70-inch flat-screen TV and projectors.
Now 50% of the units are pre-leased, and the rest are expected to be rented by the end of this year, Urbanize LA reports.
This marks the second multifamily project developed by Jamison after it converted the Westmore, an old office building at 3075 Wilshire Blvd, into 127 units.
The firm is also, along with Hankey Investment Co and Falcon California Investments, building Circa in DTLA, a 648-unit luxury apartment complex at 1200 Figueroa. [ULA]
