Rick Caruso's Proposed Apartment Tower Is Chugging Along
Good news for Caruso Affiliated CEO Rick Caruso's proposed luxury high-rise across from the Beverly Center.
The project was approved last week by the Mid City West Community Council's board of directors.
The $155M, 19-story apartment building would include 145 units and about 30k SF of grocery and restaurant space, Urbanize LA reports. There would also be 7k SF of open space on the corner, according to Caruso Affiliated.
To gain the approval of the board, Rick has agreed to set aside 10% of the building's units as affordable housing.
There would also be improvements made to local bike lanes and the addition of new crosswalks and other streetscape improvements.
MVE + Partners is designing the project, which has a landscaped urban plaza with greenery, outdoor seating and water features.
The groundbreaking for 333 La Cienega could take place next year. [ULA]
