Video: Overnight Concrete Pour at $1B Metropolis
Our pals at Harley Ellis Devereaux sent us this video of the more than 12-hour concrete pour at the 56-story Metropolis tower in Downtown, which the firm is the architect of record on. The pour required 638 trucks and 60 people on-site overnight to complete. In 2013, Shanghai-based Greenland USA purchased the property from the California State Teachers' Retirement System for $150M. The project was originally thought up in the 1980s as a high-rise office project.
