What City has $1B in Development?
This was the scene last week when El Segundo hosted a reception to give commercial brokers an overview of what's happening in the city. CBRE's Bob Healey and Bill Bloodgood, flanking Continental Development prez Richard Lundquist, are leasing a 210k SF creative office campus called elevon at Campus El Segundo, Continental's JV with Mar Ventures. The project is among El Segundo's $1B in active and planned development activity.
The LA Kings were a key sponsor of the event. That's why we found El Segundo Economic Development Advisory Council chairman Drew Boyles next to former players Glen Murray, Luc Robitaille (now the team's business operations president), and Nelson Emerson. Notable new developments in El Segundo include: The Point, an $80M, 115k SF shopping and dining complex; Apollo at Rosecrans, a 433k SF, five-building creative campus; Utah Avenue Campus, the redevelopment of nearly 200k SF in two high-bay, single-story buildings formerly occupied by Xerox; and Smoky Hollow, a mix of residential units and light industrial/manufacturing businesses.
