Working Man
The habits of 58 years are hard to break, so superlawyer Leo Pircher, who theoretically retired from Pircher Nichols in February and assumed the title of senior counsel, has ended up in the office every single workday since then. Alas, that's what rational spouses are for, so wife Nina (with him in their apartment last week) vows to drag him off to Italy and Asia come September. Meantime, though the firm has 70 other lawyers working on real estate transactions throughout the US for their who's who of clients—like Blackstone, Walton Street, Starwood Capital, Oaktree, Farallon, Northwood Investors, Cantor Commercial, Canyon Capital, Westcore Properties and Terra Capital, among others—there is much to keep Leo busy. Such as keeping track of firm exploits at Bisnow events: Colleague Gene Leone interviewed finance titan Barry Sternlicht in NYC earlier this month, and colleague Michael Scheinberg is preparing to grill a Bisnow LA Capital Markets panel later this month. Memo to Leo: You've got three months to find a good book.
