Industrious, a provider of co-working spaces, will have a soft opening of its first LA location Thursday at 600 Wilshire Blvd in DTLA.

So far, two tenants have signed up to lease space, including FEM Marketing.

Industrious CEO Jamie Hodari (pictured above with co-founder and president Justin Stewart) tells Bisnow they've been "dying" to open in LA because "our brand and product is a perfect fit for Los Angeles."

He describes Industrious as being "warm and inviting without ever losing an ounce of the professionalism businesses need in their workplace in order to thrive."

Jamie says being in DTLA is a thrill because "we are true believers in the resurgence of downtowns across the country, and LA might be the most formidable example of them all."

FEM Marketing CEO Alex Moroch (above) tells us Industrious appealed to her over other co-working spaces in LA partly because of the flexible lease option.

As a small business that plans to grow, Alex says being able to have a month-to-month contract comes in handy, especially in case she needs more space in the future.

"You’re not locked into a five-year lease, which is typically what happens," Alex says.

Being in DTLA is attractive because of all the development going on downtown, Alex says. A lounge that can be rented out for social gatherings, and parking and valet options for visiting clients were also a draw, according to Alex.

Industrious signed a 10-year lease and plans to take up the entire fifth floor (18,853 SF). There are 85 private offices available at the location.

Industrious is also looking to expand to Hollywood, Santa Monica and Century City.
