New Long Beach Development Would Replace SeaPort Marina Hotel
El Segundo's CenterCal Properties plans to tear down the old SeaPort Marina Hotel in Long Beach to make way for a new shopping center at the corner of Second Street and Pacific Coast Highway.
CenterCal is proposing an approximately 245k SF building with 95k SF of retail, a 25k SF fitness club and a 55k SF grocery store on the nearly 11-acre property.
A Whole Foods Market will serve as the shopping center's anchor, Urbanize LA reports.
There would also be 70k SF of restaurant space in the two-story center.
The project is scheduled to be finished in 2018. [ULA]
