Closer Look At Proposed Reno Of Promenade At Howard Hughes Center
The proposed $30M makeover of the Promenade at Howard Hughes Center will be in front of the Neighborhood Council of Westchester and Playa del Rey's Planning and Land Use Committee this week.
The reno of the 250k SF retail center, between Sepulveda Boulevard and the San Diego Freeway, is being proposed by Laurus Corp, which bought it two years ago.
Jerde Partnership is designing the makeover, which would include upgrading the indoor-outdoor spaces, among other improvements, Urbanize LA reports.
The shopping center has lost tenants in recent years, including Nordstrom Rack, which is now at the Westfield Culver City.
The Blackstone Group spent $584M on several buildings across the street, and there are plans to make upgrades to that property. [ULA]
