Valley Brokers Rejoice! Here Comes Dunkin!
Attention all brokers working in the army of likely Douglas Emmett-owned office buildings in the San Fernando Valley: It's time for a new breakfast routine. Gone are the days of shelling out $9 for a coffee and scone at Starbucks. Here's illi Commercial Real Estate's Greg Offsay pulling down a leasing sign at 4920 Balboa Blvd, where the Valley's first Dunkin Donuts has signed a lease.
illi president Todd Nathanson tells us negotiations were lengthy, though details are not being released. Rumors of Dunkin Donuts expanding to the West Coast have been circulating for more than 10 years, but now the first few stores in LA have opened to tremendous fanfare. At the corner of Balboa and Ventura, the spot is a one-minute walk from the Encino office that houses several commercial real estate brokerages. Aharon Aminpour is developing the spot and has a deal for 10 stores in the Valley.
