Senior Housing To Be Incorporated At Florence Library
A new mixed-use development would bring together senior housing and the new home of the Florence Library on the ground floor.
The project, from AMCAL Multi-Housing, would include tearing down the existing library at 1600-1616 East Florence Ave., Urbanize LA reports. VTBS Architects is designing the five-story building that would rise in its place, which would have 116 units of senior affordable housing.
There would be one- and two-bedroom units, a courtyard, a community room and a fitness center. The library would take up 10k SF.
No timeline has yet been made public for the project.
