Digital Connectivity Is Now At The Centre Of Residential Amenity, As Manchester Block Gets WiredScored
Burlington House has become the first rented residential building in Manchester to secure a WiredScore Silver rating for digital connectivity.
The 91-apartment private rented block at Piccadilly Basin includes features such as smart parcel management and keyless entry to both the building and apartments. The Burlington Connect App allows residents to access on-demand services and report any problems, and then track their progress once logged.
Developer Town Centre Securities said investing in the building’s digital infrastructure is vital to future-proof the investment. The scheme was developed with Highgrove Group.
“We are delighted that Burlington House is the first residential development in Manchester to achieve a WiredScore Home rating for its digital connectivity. Our tenants benefit from the knowledge that their homes have the best possible level of connectivity and are prepared for the future,” Town Centre Securities chief executive Edward Ziff said.
WiredScore Home was launched in May 2019 and has since certified more than 13,000 homes created by developers, including Greystar, Argent, LaSalle, L&G, Patrizia and Round Hill Capital. It is the first digital connectivity rating scheme for the build-to-rent market.
