Unvelievable (But True) Image Of Albert Square In 2020
Get used to looking at this view of Manchester's famous Town Hall and surrounding Albert Square.
The Grade I-listed building designed by Alfred Waterhouse is about to be wrapped for refurbishment, Salford-based construction consultancy Oakwood said.
Working on behalf of main contractor Lendlease, Oakwood has created a digital environment which will enable visitors to visualise exactly how the square will look during the project.
Albert Square, which will be closed to the public for the duration of the £330M contract period, will also see extensive works undertaken.
Oakwood’s work will focus on the revitalisation of Albert Square, aimed at updating its facilities and ensuring its future as a key focus for events and celebrations.
INSITE, the technology behind Oakwood’s contribution to the event, has been developed by the company’s in-house team to empower its clients and enable them to examine their projects in detail before they commence.
