Ewe Won't Believe What One Manchester Landlord Uses For Insulation
The landlords of Manchester’s historic Albert Estate and Canada House say they will use locally sourced sheep wool insulation across their property portfolio.
LJ Real Estate said the move away from fibre glass in their buildings will lower carbon footprint and support British farmers.
“The sheep wool that would have been otherwise discarded has the same insulation performance as manufactured stuff and is a local product meaning it hasn’t travelled far – giving it a lower carbon footprint," LJ Real Estate Director Sam Lawson-Johnson said.
LJ Real Estate have so far invested more than £50M building a 218K SF portfolio in central Manchester and Leeds.
