WeWork And Amazon In 'Powered By We' Partnership At Manchester's NOMA
WeWork is to team up with Amazon at the online retailer's new 91K SF Manchester northern HQ.
The arrangement which sees the two businesses partner one another at Hermés' Hanover House, reported by Property Week, has been widely discussed in Manchester property circles for the last month.
This would be WeWork's third Manchester outlet — and their first on the fringe of the Northern Quarter.
Amazon had been thought likely to occupy around 70K SF at the 91K SF building as part of a Powered by We deal to establish a regional office.
Powered by We is WeWork's "white label" office service providing floorspace to an occupier brand and specification. It includes site finding, fit out, back-end data and WeWork staff on hand. The Powered by We programme is expected to lead WeWork's growth.
A fourth more traditional WeWork deal in the city is anticipated.
The location offers Amazon the chance to create a larger campus development as part of the 20-acre NOMA scheme.
Hermés took control of the entire 4M SF NOMA scheme at the start of this year following the sale of the Co-Op's 50% interest.
