Chileans Build French-Designed Condos in South Florida
Not only are Latin and South Americans buying South Florida condos--they're in on the action when it comes to building them. The 12-story Le Parc at Brickell, which broke ground recently, is a JV between local Strategic Properties Group and ATLA Developers--itself a JV between Aconcagua, the largest publicly traded residential developer in Chile, and Miami-based Archiplan USA. Snapped at the opening of the Lignet Roset-designed sales center for Le Parc at Brickell condo last week: ALTA Developers' Raimundo Onetto and Patricio Ureta with Strategic Properties Group Henry Pino. According to the developers, well over half of the units have already been sold.
