Faena House Attracting Billionaire Buyers
Are the world's billionaires all coming to Faena House to buy condos? (Or at least sending a big check.) A number of buys by billionaires have happened there recently, so maybe so.
Hedge fund billionaire Kenneth Griffin of Citadel put up $60M for a pair of penthouses at Faena House, for instance. It's a property that's attracted other billionaires as well, such as Goldman Sachs' Lloyd Blankfein; along with Jose Fanjul Jr., a member of the sugar tycoon family of Domino Sugar fame; and Briton Alan Howard, co-founder of Brevan Howard Asset Management.
Faena House is the first of four planned oceanfront condo towers from 3200 to 3500 Collins Ave in Miami Beach. [TRD]
