Four Seasons Breaks Ground, Porsche Design Tower Tops Out
Miami-based Fort Partners hosted a demolition event this week, taking down the last bit of the former Tropic Cay motel to mark the groundbreaking for the new Four Seasons Hotel & Residences Fort Lauderdale. Construction of the condo-hotel, which will occupy 1.8 acres—an entire block of oceanfront property from 521 to 529 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd—will begin shortly. Snapped: Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jack Seiler and Fort Partners CEO Nadim Ashi and director of sales Jim Cohen.
On Sunny Isles Beach, the 60-story Porsche Design Tower Miami topped off this week. Dezer Development and the Tower’s general contractor, Coastal Construction Group, marked the occasion with a luncheon for over 600 construction workers, engineers and other contractors involved in the project. Among other things, the property will include a first-of-its-kind (for South Florida) automated car elevator system, the Dezervator, named after the Tower’s developer, Gil Dezer.
