Ion East Edgewater Switches to Mixed-Use

Sakor Development is re-evaluating its plans to develop Ion East Edgewater as a condo tower at 2701 Biscayne Blvd. The project has been delayed because of a year-long legal dispute involving one parcel, and "with land values along the Biscayne corridor rising, we are configuring for mixed-use development," the company noted in a statement. The property will include residential, but also office and retail, The Real Deal reports. The company pre-sold 40% of Ion's units, and will honor those reservations.
