C&W Supersizes Its Leasing Order With 12.5M SF Leasing Acqusition

Cushman & Wakefield has become the second-largest commercial leasing/management group in Florida, thanks to its purchase of Taylor & Mathis' Florida operations, which includes some 12.5M SF of properties. The acquisition pushes C&W's overall management and leasing portfolio to more than 41M SF. Properties among the Taylor & Mathis portfolio include MetWest International, 355 Alhambra, Wells Fargo Center, Atrium at Waterford, One Biscayne Tower (here) and Datran Center. The deal means both Taylor & Mathis' Hank Brenner and Brian Gale—who bought out Taylor & Mathis' Atlanta partners' interests from the Florida operations last year—are brought into the Cushman & Wakefield fold as vice chairmen.
