Dolphins Want Rebate for Stadium Redevelopment
The Dolphins have asked for a $3M tax refund from the Florida legislature. Thus far the team (owned by Stephen Ross) and the NFL have funded the majority of the $350M reconstruction on Sun Life Stadium.
Besides the possible rebates, the Dolphins will already be getting $5M to $30M in incentives from Miami-Dade County, depending on how many large-scale events the stadium brings to the city, Curbed reports. Plans for the stadium include a new roof, new lighting and and better seat placement. [Curbed]
