Crain Completes Warehouse-To-Office Adaptive Reuse On Sidco Drive
Crain Construction is relocating its offices to a Sidco Drive warehouse the general contractor built in 1959 and recently renovated. The warehouse-to-office conversion is one of a number of adaptive reuse projects the company has undertaken in the 100 Oaks area, to accommodate an increasing number of office and retail tenants.
Crain renovated the 2963 Sidco Drive property in several phases. It recently completed a 20K SF build-out for c3/consulting and then 7K SF for its new home. Above the entrance to its new HQ, the company’s signature logo of two cranes (birds, not equipment) adorns a high wall visible from the road.
“We’ve spent a lot of time in the 100 Oaks area, having built or renovated about two dozen structures there,” Crain president Michael Rankin said. “During our build-out for c3, it became apparent the unused space in that building would perfectly accommodate our expanding staff.”
