Developer Buys East Nashville Site In Anticipation Of Growth
Nashville developer James Matthew acquired a car lot site in East Nashville for more than $2.6M. The tract is at the corner of Main Street and Forest Avenue and is home to E&R Auto Sales.
The sale is a bet on growth along the Gallatin Pike and Main Street, where Mayor Megan Barry plans to put the city's first light-rail corridor, the Tennessean reports.
The buyer does not yet have any specific plans for the property, which measures about a sixth of an acre.
Matthew is remodeling the Cambridge condos on 18th Avenue, and he acquired a 220-acre farm in Williamson County for $13M last year. He also owns 350 acres in the Old Hillsboro Road area.
Westgate Commercial's Bonnie Gallo repped Elkins, the seller.
