This Submarket Is Giving Downtown A Run For Its Money
Growth in Nashville doesn't just mean an expanding Downtown market. Submarkets such as Franklin are benefiting as well.
"Nashville's one of the hottest real estate and growth markets in the country, and Williamson County will soon have as much Class-A office space as Downtown Nashville," Heartland Partner's Brian Schiedemeyer, one of the developers of 231 Public Square in Franklin, tells us. Brian's snapped with D9 Development's Bernie Butler, the other developer on the project.
"The county has led the country in real job growth this year," Brian continues. "The soul and strategic centerpiece of this county is the Historic Square in Downtown Franklin, and has been for over 200 years."
The square has been the focus of Franklin for all its history, and it will be for the future as well, Bernie tells us. "231 Public Square will be the front door to everything that happens here for the next several hundred years. Companies and restaurants want to make sure they have the opportunity to be the one with that preferred view, so it's no surprise that there's so much interest in our project. It's our job to pay off that expectation."
The redevelopment of 231 Public Square, now underway, will create 25k SF of new office space and two restaurants, including a rooftop restaurant with a view of the Franklin Public Square.
