Trail-Oriented Mixed-Use Planned For East Nashville

Placeholder

A mix of 321 residential units and at least three commercial buildings is planned for 52 acres at the southwest corner of Broadmoor Drive and Ellington Parkway in the Maplewood Heights area. If approved, the development will have the distinction of being the first project under Nashville's new trail-oriented development policy, since it would include as much as 10 acres of green space linked to the Nashville Greenway system, the Tennessean reports.

The site's co-owner, Christian Paro, will go before the Metro Planning Commission in April seeking mixed-use zoning for the development. Most of the residential units would be single-family, ranging from 700 SF to 2K SF, but there would also be apartments and condos. As much as 20% of the development would be commercial space.

If approved, work would begin on the first phase early next year, with other phases to follow.
