The Morris Apartment Development Aims For Music Row Sense Of Place
Demand for apartments might be strong in Nashville, but even so new properties, especially upper-end ones, need to compete for tenants. One way to do so, especially for millennials, is through features that make the property unlike any other.
That is one of the strategies for The Morris. Apartment developer LMC kicked off pre-leasing at The Morris, a high-end development on Music Row at the site of country music star Dale Morris’ former office at 818 19th Ave. South. The development includes 344 units and 6K SF of ground-floor retail space.
"Being on Music Row is clearly a benefit, but we believe this community would stand on its own merits no matter where it is," LMC divisional president of the Southeast region Chris Cassidy said.
The property has the amenities one would expect for a development with condo-finished units, such as a rooftop club with pool, a fitness center, a seventh-floor outdoor terrace with grill stations, a pet spa, and bike parking and a repair station.
But it also trades on its location to build a distinctive sense of place, and its most distinctive features are a professional recording studio and rooftop performance stage.
"How many residents can say they have a professional recording studio and rooftop stage at their fingertips?" Cassidy said.
Initial move-ins are expected in late summer. LMC is part of Miami-based homebuilder Lennar Corp.
