Retail Returning To Antioch?
Locally based Anchor Investments paid $2.8M for a 60k SF retail strip in Antioch at exit 59 of I-24, southeast of Nashville. Anchor's arrival is another indicator that Antioch is being looked at afresh by major retailers, after the decline of the Hickory Hollow mall nearby (pictured), the Nashville Business Journal reports. For one, Nashville's Oldacre McDonald and Atlanta's TPA Group are jointly planning a 300-acre mixed-use development on the other side of I-24. [NBJ]
