    Best Cities For Real Estate Investing: No. 6

    Nashville rose from fifth to No. 6 nationwide for real estate investing in 2017 in the annual Emerging Trends in Real Estate report by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Urban Land Institute. The report cited Music City's hip factor, reflected in the high percentage of college graduates who stay in the area, and its diverse economy that's predicted to continue to create jobs next year.

    Manufacturing Costs: Nashville's Fourth Lowest

    6 Times Nashville's Been On A Top 10 List In The Second Half Of '16

    The Nashville region is one of the top markets nationwide for advanced manufacturing, according to a report by New Jersey-based location consulting firm The Boyd Co. It listed Nashville and Middle Tennessee as the fourth lowest in the US when it comes to annual operating costs for manufacturers.

    Best States To Do Business: Tennessee's No. 4

    Tennessee's the fourth-best state in which to do business, according to an annual report by Area Development. That takes into account the cost of doing business, taxes and incentives, and the quality and availability of the workforce. In all of those, Tennessee ranks behind only Georgia, South Carolina and Texas.

    Best Cities For Healthcare Job Seekers: No. 6

    Abodo analyzed the 25 most populous cities nationwide and ranked the best cities for job seekers in the five fastest-growing occupations. Nashville ranks sixth for healthcare practitioners and technical occupations, and eighth for arts, design, entertainment, sports and media occupations.

    Best Cities For Law School Graduates: No. 8

    6 Times Nashville's Been On A Top 10 List In The Second Half Of '16

    Nashville ranks eighth among places where law school graduates have the best chances of finding a good job after graduating, according to the personal finance website GoodCall.com. The ranking analyzed more than 900 cities on average attorney salary, job availability, housing prices and area amenities.

    Best Cities For Minor League Baseball: No. 3

    Personal finance website SmartAsset.com put Nashville third on its list of the nation's best minor league baseball cities. Going into the mix were both quality of life metrics and overall game day experience, and naturally the Sounds were hard to beat. Only Round Rock, TX, and Columbus, OH, were judged better minor league towns.
