Nashville Tech Space Rent Growth One Of Country's Fastest
Nashville CBD rent growth has been very strong compared with other major tech submarkets nationwide. Rents were up over 23% from Q2 2014 to Q2 2016, according to CBRE’s 2016 Tech-Thirty report, a figure only topped by University City in Philly, Oakland/East End in Pittsburgh, East Cambridge in Massachusetts and Tempe, AZ.
Other takeaways in the report about Nashville's tech industry: overwhelming demand in the market means office development has to cater to tech companies by providing a creative environment; competition for tech talent is a persistent theme in workplace strategies. Also, Nashville's many universities are providing a young, diverse talent pool for companies that want to relocate here or expand.
